The Wingaru NAIDOC Challenge is an annual free event where teachers are encouraged to explore the NAIDOC theme across term 3. We challenge teachers to bring related content into the classroom each week of the term.

Lessons and stories differ depending on year/stage chosen as our lessons are curriculum aligned and age appropriate

How it works

We understand that teachers are busy so the Challenge has been designed to be as flexible as you need it to be. You choose how you engage with the Challenge, how much content you include and which resources you use.

This year we have included a class project to get your students collaborating on how they can amplify the need for change.

We will send you ideas and information throughout the Challenge and encourage you to follow Wingaru and the Challenge team members for information, ideas and tips.

Feedback from last year's Challenge indicated that many teachers would like a full scope and sequence to follow. This year we have two options for participating:
